Linda Schaumberg, Attorney at Law
Native to Southeast Wisconsin, Linda M. Schaumberg, J.D. was born to parents who owned a small businesses and worked incredibly hard to serve the community they lived in. Family is and always has been very important to her. She grew up in a large family with many siblings who are all very dear to her. The entire family was part of the small businesses and there was always work to do. Each child started working by the time he or she was 8 years old. This is likely how she developed her strong work ethic which is heavily ingrained both in her practice and in her nonbusiness activities. Attorney Schaumberg put herself through college. First earning a Bachelors in Business Administration while working in the family businesses which included a bar named Choir Practice and a frozen pizza business (yes Schaumberg’s Pizza). She also spent years traveling around the globe learning new cultures and developing her interpersonal communication abilities. She was a substitute teacher and worked in public relations, among other things, prior to pursuing her Doctorate in Jurisprudence. Her extensive life experiences prior to, during and after law school give her a unique perspective. She received her JD from Marquette Law School in 2004 and since then has been practicing in all areas of Family Law. Family law has always been her passion. Her business background, both through hands on work and through her education, has been an incredible asset to Schaumberg Law Offices, LLC and its many clients. It is Schaumberg Law Offices, LLC’s honor to help my clients through some of the roughest points in their lives, and we are humbled by calls, cards and letters from our clients expressing the same. Sometimes, even years later from clients in appreciation of our assistance through difficult times and complex situations. Often, such situations call for resolutions somewhat “outside of the box” to ensure healing in the family, and overall betterment of their family in their own unique situation. Attorney Schaumberg is a certified mediator, Guardian ad Litem, as well as advocate counsel. The Family Law discipline has challenging cross-overs into many other areas of practice that she has had experience in. Areas of practice include: divorce, paternity establishment, child support, spousal support, post- judgment actions, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, marital property agreements, adult guardianship, minor guardianship, adoption, as estate planning and other family law related matters.
